High Point Fisheries

Company History

Founded in 2008 as an American Foreign Investment in Indonesia, PT Primo Indo Ikan established its initial factory in Flores, Indonesia. This facility specialized in producing frozen Yellowfin tuna and frozen Skipjack, utilizing handline and pole and line fishing methods. As the Flores factory gained momentum, the company expanded its operations to Bali, focusing on the processing of frozen Yellowfin tuna. In 2012, PT Primo Indo Ikan initiated its first Fishery Improvement Project (FIP) for pole and line tuna, eventually earning MSC certification for this fishery.

Concurrently, the Bali facility experienced continuous growth, with production capacity expanding to 15 tons per day. In 2020, the decision was made to concentrate resources on the company’s core competence, leading to the closure of the Flores operation. Recognizing our proficiency in frozen Yellowfin tuna, PT Primo Indo Ikan established a cutting-edge facility on the Island of Lombok, Indonesia, known as PT High Point Fisheries, in 2023. This new facility boasts a processing capacity of 20 tons per day. By operating from two locations, the company is able to meet market demands consistently throughout the year.
